Where in the world is Ravensdale?

This link will give you a look at Ravensdale, WA. ( http://www.city-data.com/city/Ravensdale-Washington.html ) It is a rural area about 3 miles east of Maple Valley, WA.

Caradel is our home. It is located on 3.5 acres in the north part of the community about 1 mile from the Cedar River. We have a wonderful view of a meadow, forest and the foothills of the Cascade mountains. Below are some pictures of our view to the east.

We started building our home on this property in 2001. It has been a fun project with lots of challenges.
We moved into our home three and one half years ago. We have worked at making it home and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
This fall we are finally getting some landscaping done. Before we were trapped inside by mud and rocks in the spring, fall, and winter. In the summer it was dust and rocks. I belive that in the winter the rocks get together and have babies.
We are having a good time getting our personalities to show in the hardscape as well as the plant selection. Here are some shots of our house and landscaping project.

It is difficult to get the whole picture but here are before and after shots

As you can see our project is still in progress. As we make progress we will post updates.

It's nice to see pictures of the landscaping. It looks great! I love the circle in the middle of the driveway. We'll look forward to seeing more pictures in the future.

Your house is beautiful!! I never have gotten a chance to see it in person. It looks like you have some amazing scenery around there, especially with snow!

Yay! I'm glad you have a blog! That sunset (or sunrise?) picture is so beautiful! We're excited to see the landscaping. I bet it will look beautiful in the spring!
