Christmas at Home

This year Louise and Roger stayed home for Christmas. Since Dianne is living with us and Anthony and Bethany live in nearby Renton we had family to join us in our celebration. Bethany's parents, Roger and Mary Cox, came over as well and made the party that much more fun. (Yes! We now have three Rogers two Bethanys in the family) With over 18.5" of snow on the ground we used our four wheel drive pickup to ferry guests from 4 Corners to our home.

A few elk joined us just to round out the crowd.

After dinner Louise and Mary decided to get artsy and took some pictures of our outdoor lanterns nestled in the snow. This is one that Loiuse took.

On this Christmas we were able to enjoy many facets of the great beauty God has given us through family, home, nature, and Jesus his most beautiful gift.

May your lives be filled with joy and a blessed New Year!

Christmas Sunrise

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

from

Roger and Louise

After serveral days of overcast skies and snow showers we woke up on Christmas morning to a spectacular sunrise. Louise grabbed the camera and took some photos of this beautiful event. This sight confirms Louise's wisdom in insisting that our home be called "Caradel". This morning has reflected God's grace (charis) as he has blessed with us with abundantly gracious gifts including a beautiful Christmas sunrise.

Finally!

It's been over six months since I posted. A lot has happened in our landscaping project so this may take awhile to get through.

As you may have seen in the first post the landscape was very rough around the house. Instead of posting a lot of verbage I have put together several progressions around the property.

Taming the driveway

We have lawn!

and lawn mowers too!

Enjoy our journy to new walls and plants :-)
